Would you rather...

I am not exactly sure how it started, but for years my sisters and I have been playing an on-going game of "would you rather." If you don´t know, this game entails giving a person two choices and requiring them to pick one, no matter how disturbing, disgusting or just plain dumb they are. Often times this requires choosing the lesser of the two evils since neither option is good or even pleasant. It really is a silly game and it has been gradually getting more and more random as time goes on. (Throw in my brother-in-law, a late night and a couple of beers a piece and things go downhill quickly). I am sure it will continue when I am home this summer but often wonder if things will get cleaned up now that there is a small child hanging around.

Here are some examples of choices proposed in the past. As you can see, they usually start off being non-offensive, even thought provoking.

Would you rather be able to breathe underwater or fly?

Would you rather spend the rest of your life in a zoo, library or museum?

Would you rather have to always exit rooms through windows or always walk backwards?

One day we heard that Kid Rock and his entourage had gotten into a fight at an IHOP restaurant. God only knows why or how this became another query.

Would you rather throw down with Bob Ritchie at IHOP or engage in fisticuffs with Bob Seger at Waffle House?

Long hair on a man is never good

When this question was posed it was analyzed way more than it should have been. All kinds of things were taken into account (young Seger or old Seger, what time of day is the fight taking place, what did you order at the restaurant) and I am not sure that a true consensus was reached.

However ridiculous this battle royale of Michigan rockers was, the most absurd examples of these would you rather questions ALWAYS involve Louie Anderson. I have no idea why. The unspoken rule is that you MUST choose whatever option does not involve Louie Anderson. He is never the correct choice. Ever.

Never the best option

I have been coming up with some real gems for when I get home this summer and hope my sisters have been as well. They have about a month to be brainstorming.
